Open Database Setup
On File menu, select Database Setup (logout first).

Cancel Login
Click Cancel if Login dialog box pop up.
|
|
Check Server
Check
Server at 1. Database Engine Installation group box, click
Install to continue.
|
|
SQL Server License Agreement
Read agreement carefully, if you agree with it, click I Agree
to continue.
|
|
Installation Folder
Click Finish to start unpack SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine package
to the specified folder.
We recommend not to change the Installation Folder, it is a temporary
folder, may be remove after setup complete. To remove, please refer to step 13.

Create Folder
Click Yes to create the folder.
|
|
Unpacking
|
|
Package Unpacked
click OK to install.
|
|
Install Desktop Engine
SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine installing.
Restart computer may require for Windows 2000, after restarting, SQL Server will start, in
this case, jump to step 11.

Open SQL Server Service Manager
Installation
completed, click Start SQL to open SQL Server Service Manager
dialog box
|
|
Start SQL Server
Click Start/Continue to start SQL Server. Check
Auto-start service when OS starts to auto start in future.
If you have another instance in your system, please ensure the computer name at
Server: combo box is correct. In this case, 'WG-SV2' is computer name.

SQL Server Started
Wait until SQL Server is started, then close this dialog box.
Please wait for another 5~10 seconds after SQL Server started, before going to next step, for
it need time to complete some configuration.

Transfer Database
Select a module and
Database type you wish to transfer. We recommended that you transfer the Demo database for
learning first, before actually enter your operation data.
To switch from Demo database to operation database, you need to remove Demo database first.
If you are choosing Demo database, do not perform the following step, just quit after transfer.

Enter Organization Detail
Input Organization
particular, standard value and administrator information to complete initial
setup.
|
|
Delete Setup File
Click Delete if you wish to delete some setup files.
